A “Match Made in Heaven” is how I would describe the union of Bailey Steele and Josh Pride. The are both extremely intelligent individuals, but also (Josh in particular) quite laid back and GOOFY. This is what made capturing images of their wedding so enjoyable. You see, I was NOT the “hired” photographer. I was asked by the bride, who happens to be my daughter, Emily’s BBF, to bring my camera along with me to her wedding to possibly grab some candid shots! Oh, how very happy I was to oblige!! For me, there is nothing worse than being the “official” photographer at a wedding, having to organize people and take all of those obligatory, staged shots of the bride and groom, wedding party, as well as family members, friends and important events throughout the day. Having no official role, nor responsibility however, granted me the artist licence to be creative – something I much more prefer. If you happen to peruse the photos of Bailey and Josh’s wedding in my “Event” album, you will see that I tried to capture the true essence the real story and true character behind every image. I took shots when they were not looking, when they were being their silly selves, as well as from the oddest of angles. I even fulfilled requests by Bailey’s aunties to take photo of photos of dead people. Yes. You heard right, LOL. That is just who they are, and what was important to them. I had an amazing time and a lot of fun helping Bailey and Josh mark their special day. I have no future aspirations of being a wedding photographer, unless under similar circumstances as these. For now, I am sticking to wild things!!
Bailey and Josh Unite!
